The Swedish Institute has awarded 1 994 370 SEK in funding to the project BRIDGE-UA Building Resilient Innovation Governance for EU Integration in Ukraine, in partnership with Donetsk National Technical University.

The project is designed to strengthen Ukraine’s innovation governance, foster sustainable public-private ecosystems, and support post-conflict regional development and EU integration principles in Ukraine.

In close collaboration with Ukrainian partner Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU), Linköping Science Park will contribute with strategic leadership, financial management, and methodological expertise in triple-helix collaboration and cluster management. Through targeted workshops, peer-learning, and expert exchange, the project will assist in adapting proven governance models to the local regulatory and institutional context, building long-term resilience and driving sustainable innovation.

”The Swedish Institute funds cooperation between Swedish and Ukrainian organisations. Through projects implemented on the ground, we contribute to Ukraine’s recovery and EU integration while strengthening resilience in both Ukraine and Sweden,” says Madeleine Sjöstedt, Director-General of the Swedish Institute.

“We have at least as much to learn from Ukraine, and are happy to contribute with what we have built up for over four decades. As one of Sweden’s most established science parks, our core role is to connect needs, competences, technologies and the industry while developing the methods that makes it easier for people to collaborate,” says Lena Miranda, CEO, Linköping Science Park.

The project period is September 2026 to June 2028.
